Adaptive Data Management for Air Quality Visualization on Mobile Device

چکیده

The urban environment is where an increasing share of the world’s population resides, where the most commercial energy is consumed, and where the impacts of pollution are imposed the most. In the urban environment, because of its complex structure, the air pollution appears unpredictable covering narrow area. The AirScope system is developed for that kind of micro-scale air pollution management [1]. It employed virtual reality based visualization system for users and implemented it on desktop system and wall type scalable display system [1] [2]. However, those systems are dependent to its installed site so generally users cannot gain air quality information in outdoor spots such as crossings at downtown. By porting the previous air quality visualization system to a smart phone, users may access to the air quality information anywhere they are. In this paper, we propose adaptive data management method for implementing air quality visualization system on mobile device.
